U10 Boys Win Larry Cusack Cup

St Peters U10 boys travelled to Maghery on Saturday (26th June) to compete in the Larry Cusack Cup. They played a young St Pauls team in their first match and completely dominated the game running out 19-0 winners.

In the second game they played a strong Wolfe Tones team but yet again the young whites dominated running out winners on a score of 23-6.

This win was enough to put St Peters in the final against a big strong Maghery side who had destroyed all before them in the other section. What a shock Maghery were to receive as the younger, faster whites had saved their best performance of the year to blow Maghery away by a score of 27-6. Their movement, vision, passing and shooting was of top quality and Maghery quite simply had no answers to it.

Yet again this was a complete team performance with everyone playing their part but a special mention has to go to Eugene Doran who was outstanding on the day. So far this year the U10 boys have competed in 5 tournaments winning 3 and being beaten in the final of the other 2 by Na Fianna of Dublin and Lavey of Derry, a remarkable achievement to date.
